In 2010, Joe Williams founded Give Threads, an apparel company with a giving structure built in. In 2018, Williams hired Moses Kute as a delivery driver. When Williams found out that Kute had been working both day and night shifts to provide for his family for the last 12 years, he knew he wanted to do something about it. He wanted to be able to provide Kute a better paying job than he could give him at Give Threads, which had a small team.

Williams asked five charter schools in Memphis if they would be interested in a cleaning service with a similar giving model as Give Threads. They said yes, and Give Clean was formed.

Give Clean is proud to provide health insurance, benefits, and competitive wages for our cleaners so that no employees would ever have to be away from their families like Kute, who is now a supervisor, was.

Give Clean is not only happy to build strong relationships with our employees, but also our clients and communities. Our team provides the highest quality services, regularly conducting inspections to make sure cleaning is up to our standards. Our standards have allowed us to grow from only operating in Memphis to having cleaning operations across East Tennessee and Texas.

We also give a portion of our profits to The Lionheart Foundation, which gifts grants to nonprofits both locally, in Dallas and Memphis, and around the world.
